DEATH BY GOVERNMENT: GENOCIDE AND MASS MURDER

DEATH BY GOVERNMENT: GENOCIDE AND MASS MURDER
All told, governments killed more than 262 million people in the 20th century outside of wars, according to University of Hawaii political science professor R.J. Rummel. Just to give perspective on this incredible murder by government, if all these bodies were laid head to toe, with the average height being 5', then they would circle the earth ten times. Also, this democide murdered 6 times more people than died in combat in all the foreign and internal wars of the century. Finally, given popular estimates of the dead in a major nuclear war, this total democide is as though such a war did occur, but with its dead spread over a century

Rubio Blasts Obama: ‘Left-Wing Strong Man’

Earlier this month, Sen. Marco Rubio made an auspicious debut.
Unlike so many first turns in the upper chamber, Rubio’s stirring remarks, which celebrated American exceptionalism, caught fire. The Florida Republican’s words were cited by Senate colleagues and championed by conservatives. To no one’s surprise, the push to put Rubio on the 2012 ticket only increased, even though the charismatic freshman continues to swat away the chatter.
Look for the Rubio buzz to continue. In an interview with National Review Online, he says that he will take to the Senate floor for his second speech this week — and this time he will have President Obama in his crosshairs.
Rubio tells us that he will respond to Obama’s recent press conference, where the president reveled in class-warfare bluster. “Quite frankly, I am both disappointed for our country and shocked at some of the rhetoric,” he says. “It was rhetoric, I thought, that was more appropriate for some left-wing strong man than for the president of the United States.”
“Talking about corporate jets and oil companies,” Rubio says, missed the point. “Everybody here agrees that our tax code is broken,” he says, and he is open to discussing tax reform. “But don’t go around telling people that the reason you are not doing well is because some rich guy is in a corporate jet or some oil company is making too much money.”
Watching Obama brandish such talking points made Rubio wince. “Three years into his presidency, he is a failed president,” he says. “He just has not done a good job. Life in America today, by every measure, is worse than it was when he took over.”
“When does it start to get better?” Rubio asks. “When does the magic of this president start to happen?”

Govenor of Texas and lawmakers let TSA pat-down ban die...

Texas lawmakers let pat-down ban die

Texas lawmakers adjourned their special session Wednesday without passing a ban on Transportation Security Administration pat-downs, to the dismay of staunch conservative critics of the agency.

The bill, which would have criminalized touching passengers' genitalia during hand searches at airport security checkpoints, had already been watered down by the Texas Senate. The upper chamber of the Texas Legislature added provisions to allow TSA agents to deliver a hand search if they have a reasonable suspicion one is necessary. The provisions were added to the House version of the bill, but the chamber adjourned without taking a vote on the tweaked bill it had already passed.

The bill's sponsor in the Texas House, state Rep. David Simpson (R), vowed Wednesday to try again next year.

"We will never give up the fight for liberty," he said on his Facebook page. "Though we were not successful in passing the TSA bill to protect travelers' dignity, I am continually encouraged by the efforts of so many Texans who have fought hard to see the Constitution upheld."
Democrats in the Texas House were happier about the outcome.
"It's disconcerting that we spent the last moments of the special session attempting to take a petty political swing at our president," Texas state Rep. Garnet Coleman (D) said in a statement. "The truth is, SB 29 could never have become law because the constitutional deadline for passage in the House had already passed. It was never their intent for this legislation to become law, just to posture and pander for political gain."
TSA has argued that the ban would be unconstitutional because the Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution allows federal law to trump state law, and the Department of Justice said that it could result in flights to Texas being cancelled.

The Republican Party of Texas campaigned on lies: they promised the state a good sanctuary cities bill, to screen for illegal aliens in our jails. Gov. Perry has not called a second special session to make the lawmakers pass this important bill. Gov. Perry appears to be just like "W", all talk and no action on illegal immigration. They reassure the voters while giving a "wink, wink" to their greedy business friends. Shame on the Republican Party of Texas. Good luck getting us to the polls in 2012.BY Larry on 06/29/2011 at 18:41
It is time to vote out some reps and senators. The pat downs are unconstitutiona l to begin with. Obviously, you have a bunch of Democrats pretending to be Republicans running Texas.

Obama could stop these pat downs and x-rays any time he wanted to. TSA is under the executive branch. He is using TSA to kill the airlines. He is a cap and trade guy who wants the high speed rail. Planes emit a lot of CO2.

I will vote against Perry for all of his spineless lies. Not voting on the TSA bill just proves he is only for himself. He doesn't care about the people of Texas. He is corrupt just like the rest. This proves he can be bought.BY krista on 06/29/2011 at 19:31
The Commerce clause does NOT give the Federal Dam Government any 'trump' over state law.

You must read the Constitution.

The Commerce clause is to ALLOW the Federal Government to level the playing field to some degree so the states WILL TRADE among each other,, rather than become independent of all other states due to trade unbalances.

Authorities Investigate Security Breach At JFK After Man Flies To Los Angeles Without Ticket Or ID

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) – Authorities are looking into a shocking security breach that took place at John F. Kennedy International Airport last week.

Investigators say Olajide Oluwaseun Noibi, a Nigerian, boarded Virgin America Flight 415 to Los Angeles without a valid passport or identification, using an expired boarding pass for a flight the day before that belonged to someone else.
1010 WINS’ Carol D’Auria reports: Passengers Say Security Agents Fell Down On The Job

Officials say Noibi got through security and was able to board the plane. No one noticed until the flight was airborne when a flight attendant realized Noibi was sitting in a seat that was supposed to be vacant.
He showed the attendant the expired boarding pass that was in someone else’s name and then showed a University of Michigan identification card with his picture on it.
Also at JFK: Turtles Snarl TakeoffAnd Then Take To Twitter
Investigators say the boarding pass belonged to a man who said his boarding pass went missing from his pocket on his way to the airport on June 23.
Investigators say Noibi used that pass to board the plane the next day.
WCBS 880′s Peter Haskell: They Used To Check IDs At The Gate

Noibi was allowed to get off the plane when it landed in Los Angeles.
Days later, investigators say he went back to LAX and tried to board a Delta flight to Atlanta.
This time, he was searched and airport officials found 10 expired boarding passes in his bag , none of them in his name.
The Transportation Security Administration says Noibi was screened before he boarded the flight from New York.
“Every passenger that passes through security checkpoints is subject to many layers of security including thorough physical screening at the checkpoint,” Transportation Security Administration spokesman Greg Soule said. “TSA’s review of this matter indicates that the passenger went through screening.”
Noibi was taken into custody and has been charged with being a stowaway but not under any terror or security laws. He faces a federal court hearing Saturday.
What do you think of this security breach? Is enough being done to keep the skies safe? Sound off in our comments section.

It’s not a jobs program as much as it is a modified welfare program. This is a mistake from the Bush administration, but Indie needs a reality check. The government doesn’t create jobs in the sense of the free market, but the government can create an environment that is conducive to job creation with low/no taxes and no burdensome/unnecessary regulation. And please, “repugs”? Grow up. Another example of why when I was explaining the difference to my son between Reps and Dems I said it’s really the difference between adults and children.

The complete failure of the TSA (and one failure like this is complete failure) is horrifying enough. The failure of any law enforcement agency to be on hand to arrest Mr. Noibi when the plane landed is just as horrifying. I am also very surprised the aircraft pilot didn’t make an emergency landing at the closet field when Mr. Noibi was discovered. How many more thousands of Americans are going to have to die before we admit there are people who really do want to kill us?

Bob Huner:
True enough, but also remember that Bush didn’t want the TSA solution. He felt that security could be implemented within the existing structure with some enhancements.
It was Congress that forced the TSA issue and then Bush went along with it.
I believe Bush’s initial instincts were that TSA would just become another bloated bureacratic self-licking ice cream cone. I wish he had stoold his ground.
We now have and agency of tens of thousands of people that is slowly but steadily eroding the rights granted to us under the Constitution.
I still strongly believe that TSA should not be conducting virtual strip searches without probably cause. With the current rules in place and new technology, there will be nothing to prevent police in the very near future from randomly searching people on the streets and sidewalks without probably cause. The excuse will be that it’s for the greater good, which is TSA’s defense now.
But it’s not even the elected officials that determine the greater good. It’s just a bunch of TSA public employees sitting at their desks writing new powers for TSA. We predicted that it would soon spread to buses, trains and evenutally trucks and cars–and it’s already happened and its spreading more rapidly as they remain unchecked.

How can you excuse Bush for signing the bill into law? If he was allegedly against it, he was free to not sign it. You were duped. He was for it all along. It’s the game they play. R’s and D’s are on the same team. Except for Ron Paul. The only team he’s on is We the People.

TSA’s intrusive measures have less to do with safety than it does with control. The TSA agents are less trained and less monitored than the police, yet they can conduct searches without warrants (sounds constitutional). If we all take a pass on this politicians will control us like a dictator does. We will just accept and they’ll pass laws that take away our use of judgment, hence cell phone laws.
In RUSSIA they use dogs and a risk-based approach with military and police. Here TSA has poorly educated and poorly trained people using a one-size-fits-all approach. Think about it, folks.
Start writing your congressmen and stop writing comments.

That’s the point. TSA still says “he went through our rigorous screening” which is correct. The point TSA is missing (and our legislators who should get rid of TSA) is that TSA failed yet again. TSA has shifted the discussion from substantive failure to procedural success, and amazingly/shockingly, those rock stars of intelligence and critical thinking in the old monopoly media have allowed them to do it. I frequently wonder if it’s ideology or incompetence that is the driving force behind the old monopoly media. But hey, at least we still target elderly white people and little white kids.

Another thing I might add. I was singled out for a wipe when I traveled out of Palm Springs last year and was the only one picked out of line. I am disabled and had no idea what was going on? Several middle eastern men in turban’s and such just walked in ahead of me but I had 5 TSA agents waiting for me and was accosted in line and my wife when she stopped to see what was going on was rudely told to board the plane of she was going to be held for interfering. She tried to explain she had my medications but they said go on-board anyways. Jerks

You’re right, but it’s his now. Now the current financial mess (devalued dollar, debt crisis, uncontrolled gov spending at record levels), that is squarely on BHO. Don’t blather about the housing crisis, created by CRA and dems wanting poor minorities who couldn’t afford a house to have one on the backs of the working, as being Bush’s. Then you’d just look like an idiot. Bush wasn’t perfect, but he did love this country. BHO doesn’t (try Roots of Obama’s Rage for some timely holiday reading).

95 year old American terminal cancer patient gets her adult diaper checked for C4 ,but a foreign national without ID or a valid ticket gets to fly the fieindly skies? They say the TSA does not profile ,but it sounds like they do to me. The government wants to make travel so onerous that we change our behavior patterns.

he was never screened well because that would have been racist and the TSA doesn’t want that to deal with. if he was an old white man, for sure he would have been screened enough to catch his scam. even better if he had a colostomy bag or was in a wheelchair….or was even a small child……the T&A agents love to get their hands on those folks!

Search granny’s diaper, but let the foreign nationals pass…and don’t hold them at arrival, either.
PROFILING IS GOOD! It shows you’ve learned from past experience. Feeling up granny, the 2 year old, and the nun is criminal.

This is not TSA stupidity or incompetence but their agenda of targeting law abiding non Muslim white American citizens. The Gestapo in training always give the real terrorists a pass as we saw with the last Christmas day Nigerian Muslim over Detroit who was stopped by a dutchman and not TSA !

The low life TSA agents are too busy pulling adult diapers off of 95 year old women and diapers off of babies, removing prothesis from amputees, harassing women who have had breast cancer, causing urine bags to leak and embarrass men who have them, scaring toddlers to death and sending pretty women through the nude screening machines to notice a non-citizen with no ID, no legal boarding pass and no ticket. URRGGG As an ex airline employees for over 20 years who has worked every aspect of the airport I keep telling people that the intrusive searches are so totally out of line not to mention illegal and they are just used to keep people under Obama’s dictator thumb. When will they wake up? BTW Take time to check out TSA’s hiring ‘standards’.

Goes to show you, no matter how tight security is, if there is a will, there is a way being detected. These check points should be outside the airport, and at a different location. Once screened, then board transportation to the airport. This would eliminate any chance of creating an incident….

Whenever this nation comes to its senses, perhaps we’ll see the end of Napolitano’s Gestapo…
My 5 year old niece, visiting from Norway, was bodily groped and sent screaming in protest through a rotating scanner…she will now never forget this…
Enough…
We are being abused, while children and the aged are being violated.

9-11 was a result of failed Clinton action. It is like dealing with any bully. A lack of action creates a larger reaction. If Clinton had been hard on terrorists, gone after Bin Laden when he had a chance or even pursued the original Trade Center bombers, 9-11 would have never happened.
I do like your attempted liberal quote, “It was BUSH!!”

C’mon people, let’s be fair. The TSA and other “authorities” had too much on their professional plates yesterday at JFK. Don’t you read the news?! There was an attack on the airport as hundreds of turtles wandered onto the tarmac and they not only had to gather them up but screen each and every one of them to protect the Homeland. Now ask yourself, would you want THAT job? To have to grope a reptile with a protective coating. The answer is NO! As is in evidence by the lack of scrutiny of hajib or burkah wearing “visitors”.

Well, my bad! NOT yesterday, a week ago.I thought I had a good reason for the gaffe. Nope! It’s just one of those “other” reasons the system didn’t work.

Last weekend I traveled from Bradley and went through one of the new body scanners. It picked up on my wallet in my right rear pocket, which required the wallet be taken back to the x-ray machine and scanned. Amazingly dangerous thing those leather contraptions containing money and plastic. Afterwards, I felt sooo protected. When I returned through Chicago, TSA there was fine with my wallet in my pocket. Gotta love that consistency.

…well Mike, I ALSO wondered why his National Origin was mentioned, it seems as you pointed out, it was obviously an attempt to slant the readers opinion without any supporting facts.
Why the reference to a passport? Is a passport now required to travel between JFK / LAX?
Anyway, how many OTHER frequent flights had he taken prior to being caught? I’m sure the Gate agent won’t just OVERIDE the “BEEP” next time.

You WOULD say “brown”….and I suppose you never heard of the “underwear bomber.” He IS black (not brown, there’s now race called brown) and he IS Nigerian. My point is, do not say ‘brown’ people “are not the terrorist” when many African countries have Muslim extremists. Of course, you don’t have to be Muslim to be a terrorist, and not necessarily of an specific color…but TSA is too concerned with the political correctness and profile sensitivity of the very own profile that fits the majority of terrorists. I mean, to target an old lady and search her diapers is not only absurd, but asinine.
If we have to read more of your ignorance and your foul spelling, we’re doomed. If you want to sound smart, at least spell check and use appropriate punctuation.

You both are wrong, its called reporting. Read any news story and if the person is from the US they will tell you which state. It is part of reporting the facts, something that is not done enough. Quit taking factual statements and applying your own slant becasue it is not the intention of the article. And the comment on the passport, really? Use some common sense. Earlier in the article it says he used expired ID, he is from Nigeria, so… the only form of ID that would be accepted is a passport. Get educated and learn to read all the facts in a story before slanting everything yourself.

Yes, as a foreign national a passport IS required to board a plane from JFK to LAX. A nigerian drivers license is not a valid ID. The only international valid picture ID is a passport, unless he has a green card or something else issued by the Federal Government of the USA.
I need valid ID, you need valid ID and so does he.

It doesn’t appear that people responding to this article remember the last time a Nigerian was arrested for trying to cause an explosion on a Northwestern Airlines plane back in 2009. Nigeria itself is divided between Muslims and Christians and one of my students came from a town, Jos, where the inhabitants had been massacred with machetes. But you have a problem with this article mentioning the country of origin, and would confuse this country with a European state? Hate to break it to you guys, but Europe thinks the United States is backward and reactionary…

Morons are people who have never left their small town except to get vaccinated in the big city, let alone set foot in another country, and then propound on lecturing the rest about his views of others. What part of ‘Europe’ do you hate so much? England? Greece? Czech Republic? Germany? Austria? I can’t think of any that have higher crime rates, lower education standards and incompetent politicians as the US.
