DEATH BY GOVERNMENT: GENOCIDE AND MASS MURDER

DEATH BY GOVERNMENT: GENOCIDE AND MASS MURDER
All told, governments killed more than 262 million people in the 20th century outside of wars, according to University of Hawaii political science professor R.J. Rummel. Just to give perspective on this incredible murder by government, if all these bodies were laid head to toe, with the average height being 5', then they would circle the earth ten times. Also, this democide murdered 6 times more people than died in combat in all the foreign and internal wars of the century. Finally, given popular estimates of the dead in a major nuclear war, this total democide is as though such a war did occur, but with its dead spread over a century

Why is not making more new laws considered a bad thing? I think it is a good thing. In fact i think that the congress should be repealing 2 laws for any new ones passed. How did we get this convoluted idea that we are supposed to have 535 people whose full time job it is is to sit around all day making up new rules and laws for the rest of us to follow? These congressman and senators should be living in their district being productive with full time regular jobs and only come to DC when something really big is going on that needs their attention which should be hardly ever. That is my definition of productive - working a real job where they actually do something that benefits society vs. taking away more of our freedoms. That was the way the Founding Fathers originally set this up. They would think the system we have today with all its perks and benefits is crazy and it is.
