All told, governments killed more than 262 million people in the 20th century outside of wars, according to University of Hawaii political science professor R.J. Rummel. Just to give perspective on this incredible murder by government, if all these bodies were laid head to toe, with the average height being 5', then they would circle the earth ten times. Also, this democide murdered 6 times more people than died in combat in all the foreign and internal wars of the century. Finally, given popular estimates of the dead in a major nuclear war, this total democide is as though such a war did occur, but with its dead spread over a century

Cloward–Piven strategy The ultimate objective of this strategy—to wipe out poverty by establishing a guaranteed annual income—will be questioned by some. Over 100 years ago, a man by the name of W.H. Wiley got the Pure Food and Drug Law passed. It was an effort on his part to clean up the American food system which he believed to be over abundant in sugar and other food additives which were and are detrimental to our health. This "sports" drink would never have passed muster if the pure food and drug law had stuck and not been over turned by the Coca Cola industry. I believe Mr Wiley was right-on in his fight to keep food free of harmful ingredients. As a critical care nurse, there is enough accidents and trauma in this world to keep nurses and docs busy, we don't need our food contributing to our ill health!
