The CIA has ben allied with the Italian Mafia since 1943 (with assistance in invading Sicily during WW-2) and with the Corsican Mafia since 1945 (in France and in Indochina) and with the Kuomintang (from during WW-2) but in Burma (currently Myanmar) from 1949. The CIA were also dealing with Laotian and Meo Generals in Laos and with corrupt Vietnamese since 1948 and similarly with corrupt Thais since 1945.
All were involved in the drug trade.
The CIA used their airline "Air America" to transport Opium and Heroin around Laos and Indochina and even back into the US.
The CIA has been dealing with corrupt South Americans for many years and they include Drug Lords. Many of the Cocaine was exchanged for arms and munitions in the fight against legitimate governments that the US did not like in South America.
The CIA has been assisting the various War Lords in Afghanistan since the Soviet invasion of the country and they are still dealing with those War Lords, many of whom are growing and selling Opium for weapons.

I do not know if the CIA CURRENTLY brings drugs into the US, but they certainly assist many of the Drug Lords around the world.
