The home of prominent liberty activist, Adam Kokesh, was raided by dozens of SWAT team members and DHS agents last night.

HERNDON, VA -- The home of prominent liberty activist, Adam Kokesh, was raided by dozens of SWAT team members and DHS agents last night.

The assault team performed a no-knock raid on Kokesh's residence, using a battering ram and throwing a concussion grenade into his living space. Helicopters whirred overhead as the agents tore the house apart for 5 full hours.

The officers spent hours dril...ling out the lock on his safe box and searched every corner of the home with dogs. The enforcers had obtained blueprints of the home before the raid.

Kokesh says he was kicked while restrained on the floor after requesting to use the restroom. One of his roommates says he was punched in the back of the head.

Ultimately, Kokesh was charged with allegedly possessing a mushroom while also being a gun owner. If convicted, Kokesh will face a minimum of 2 years in federal prison, up to a maximum of 10 years.

Adam Kokesh is famous for his prominent activism against the Iraq War, hosting his own talk show, and an unsuccessful run for congress. He has been the subject of peaceful civil disobedience before, being arrested for dancing at the Jefferson Memorial.
