DEATH BY GOVERNMENT: GENOCIDE AND MASS MURDER

DEATH BY GOVERNMENT: GENOCIDE AND MASS MURDER
All told, governments killed more than 262 million people in the 20th century outside of wars, according to University of Hawaii political science professor R.J. Rummel. Just to give perspective on this incredible murder by government, if all these bodies were laid head to toe, with the average height being 5', then they would circle the earth ten times. Also, this democide murdered 6 times more people than died in combat in all the foreign and internal wars of the century. Finally, given popular estimates of the dead in a major nuclear war, this total democide is as though such a war did occur, but with its dead spread over a century

Air Force One Executes Missed Approach in Connecticut with President Obama On Board

May 18, 2011 10:47 AM

LisaStark ABC News’ Lisa Stark (@lisastark) reports:    Air Force One executed a missed approach on its first attempt to land today at Bradley Field in Connecticut, circling the airport before making a successful landing on the second try.
The FAA said visibility was “below the minimum,” meaning the pilots couldn’t see the runway from the altitude required for landing due to thick cloud cover.  They were coming in to Runway 6 on instrument approach.
Weather at the field at the time was overcast with visibility of 1.5 miles and cloud ceiling 300 feet to 1000 feet variable.
Sources said the attempt was not a touch-and-go or dramatic maneuver that would have caught attention from those on the ground.
“A missed approach is ‘called’ by the pilot in command of an aircraft or the aircraft crew at any point in the approach to an airport on aninstrument approach,” an aviation expert told ABC News.
“It simply means that the pilot was uncomfortable completing the approach due to visibility, cloud ceiling, or any number of reasons.  The radar controller simply ‘vectors’ the aircraft back around for another approach,” he said. “It is a way of being safe rather than completing an approach that is not deemed to be a good one.  Happens all the time, even for commercial and military flights.”
Members of the press on board Air Force One said they didn’t notice anything abnormal occurred.
Assistant White House press secretary Nick Shapiro confirmed the go-around, adding it only briefly delayed the president.
"They circled around and landed safely a few minutes later, at 10:05 a.m.," Shapiro said. "The pilot was in the process of landing, but due to weather the pilot decided to circle around and then landed the plane. This is a standard and safe procedure.”

The state-controlled media runs stories like this so they don't have to run real stories. E.G. How the Muslim brotherhood is taking over Egypt in the wake of the "democracy" rallies. How Assad, in Syria, a man that the administration has referred to as a "reformer", has killed about 2000, and arrested about 10,000, of his own citizens in the past eight weeks suppressing true democracy rallies. How Saudi Arabia is so nervous about a lack of American reliability/ credibility that they are starting to deal with the Chi-coms. Not to mention stories about soaring food prices, soaring gasoline prices, or high unemployment levels.

If they ran real stories even the uninformed realize that this president is destroying the country.

Big deal.
So he's late for his hoops game and collecting money from rich liberals who want their corporations out
of ObamaCare.
Hey, I took a dump today. Read it here first.

what was he doing in Connecticut trying to find his social security card

And in other news, the POTUS burped after lunch.
In other words, this sounds like a non-story and not an out of the ordinary occurrence with an airplane.

union air traffic control!

I have never been on a commercial flight that has had a missed approach. I have been flying for business for over 30 years and have made approximately 500 business flights. I was on a military flight that had a missed approach once.
Missed approaches are not as common as you are being led to believe.

Does this guy spend more time on Air Force One than in the White House? Seems like it!

"Members of the press on board Air Force One said they didn’t notice anything abnormal occurred."
It's far more likely that the "members of the press" didn't notice ANYTHING at all, given that they were probably performing their usual "cranio-anal" examination of the "prez'dint", and couldn't be bothered to pay attention to anything else!

Posted by: Chisco3 | May 18, 2011 11:49:52 AM

These guys are the best pilots in the world. They made the right decision.

Posted by: hughglass | May 18, 2011 11:49:28 AM

Gee, I hope he is not late returning to the White House for whatever party is schedule for this evening. After all it is Wednesday, and that is typically "party night"!

There is NO reason why this airplane went missed approach other than the pilots were not prepared.
Approach minimums for a normal ILS approach are 200' ceiling and 1/2 mile viz- reported weather was above that.
Moreover, Runway 6 is Cat III certified - meaning the runway is certified for ZERO ceiling and only 700 visibility - again - is AF1 and its crew NOT certified for CATIII approaches? That would be more interesting story than the one thats here -
The proof and the approach plate to the runway are here. . . . .

Officials on the ground were probably checking his immigration status and hadn't heard back from Hillary at the State Department yet.

RE: Pres ObamakilledOsama's new name
I hear due to inflation he cannot use fiddy cents. Due to climate change, Ice Tea is a no no. I think Usama is available. Better trademark it before Disney gets it.

Glad everything worked out, unlike most I put my country first and my party second.

You have to hand it to the pilots of Air Force 1, they are the best of the best. I can hear obumma now, another hillary clinton TWIX moment, " we had to corkscrew our way through the clouds, they being so thick" " they insisted that I and my teleprompters put on parachutes, hahahahahahahaha!" Really? Is this a true story obumjob? " I'm sorry, I misspoke", " we were'nt trying to land in philedelphia, so there were not bullets flying all around us!"

Posted by: tymtrvlr | May 18, 2011 11:42:23 AM

I bet the vertical hold went out on his teleprompter and they needed extra time to fix the problem.

Sorry to change the subject, but why exactly are NATO helicopters firing on Pakistan? That is SO incredibly dangerous, they're going to start WWIII with this crap. WWIII, when it comes, will be a war like we've never seen. It will be nuclear. Pakistan has nukes, I don't think it's wise to be entering their airspace right now. I'm scared for my country and the rest of the world.

Posted by: Kay | May 18, 2011 11:38:37 AM

I know someone, who knows someone, who knows the food caterer on AF1 that he asked the pilots to circle around once more so he could catch a few more minutes of The View. Common was on.

Posted by: Chris | May 18, 2011 11:37:32 AM

The visibility is obviously racist

Posted by: Puppage | May 18, 2011 11:37:03 AM

"pilot was uncomfortable completing the approach due to visibility, cloud ceiling, or any number of reasons. "
"Pilots" dont make decisions based on "comfort"
Another example of brainless, mindless morons in the media manupulatign stories for some social agenda.
f-kk it didnt crash... oh Cripes, no, that would put Hillary one step closer to godhood

Is more bad unemployment data coming out today? What's with the crisis (distraction)?

The buses bringing in the adoring crowds were probably late so they had to kill some time so the "Yes We Can" posters could be distributed and used wine bottles could be hidden.

Posted by: Monty | May 18, 2011 11:34:06 AM

Forgive me for changing the subject, but a few days ago I thought I read something on PP about the Libyian Rebel Leadership visiting the WH. I can't seem to find it now. Was it on here or did I read it somewhere else? Did anyone read it here?

They probably had to circle around so they could finish tweeting so the people could gather for the celebration of a safe landing.

Posted by: Danbury | May 18, 2011 11:30:26 AM

I bet it was Bush's fault... poor Obama; the child king is unconvinced again. Don't fret, the main stream will build this into a story where Obama had to take the controls and land it for the failed pilot...betch ya.

"Members of the press on board Air Force One said they didn’t notice anything abnormal occurred."
Of course they didn't. It is hard to see when you have your head stuck so far up Obama's rear...

Posted by: Brian | May 18, 2011 11:29:40 AM

Can we please respect Air Force One for real Presidents? This one should be named Air Farce One or maybe Air Farce Fiddy!

Posted by: Mclovin | May 18, 2011 11:29:39 AM

I am glad there was a safe landing and all is well - een though I disagree with this president and his administration on almost everything. The sad thing is that if the same thing had happened to Bush, the loony liberals would be lamenting the fact that the plane didn't crash, burn, and harm or kill the president.

Posted by: lukuj | May 18, 2011 11:29:33 AM

The President's courage in the face of this existential menace brings tears to my eyes. This is a man who inspires. Probably exhales, too. He can do anything. Yes, he can. One wonders why the airplane, I mean, he could save the taxpayers a bundle by levitating himself and flying, superman-like, to these fundraisers.

Posted by: Paul Kotik | May 18, 2011 11:29:23 AM

It was due to the policies of Bush, right?
