There’s a suspicion that armour-piercing, radioactive weapons are being deployed by foreign forces on Libya. The U.S. says ‘it’s not aware’ depleted uranium’s being used, while the UK’s flatly denying it. Political observer Christoph Hoerstel says NATO’s chief members have a habit of using uranium weapons – and it’s likely Libya’s in line.

Well those are pretty clear denials. We DO know which nations do and do not have D.U. ammo stocks, so there will be no claiming Gaddafi planted evidence here. As soon as things stabilize, people need to get in there. If DU has been used (I can’t see why it wouldn’t have been), the evidence of that needs to be found. Quickly. Then HANG these people by it. If they hadn’t denied it, it wouldn’t be much of a story. However, lets see what the facts on the ground show when there is a chance to look.
