Facism has been introduced into the USA through the back door through 9/11 and the Patriot Act. The Obama administration seems happy to continue this march towards a totalitarian state. Is this what he meant by CHANGE? Or is it HOPE? Sounds more like BRAVE NEW WORLD or 1984.... President Obama signed the renewal of the Patriot Act -- an omnibus security bill passed in the wake of 9/11 that civil libertarians argue amounts to a major roll-back of civil rights. Despite criticizing the Patriot Act as a symbol of the police state and the potential loss of civil liberties, Democrats passed the extension with little debate, failing to get the votes needed to insert privacy safeguards into the law. So why did the Democrats give up? And did Obama fails to protect Americans' privacy? RT's Lucy Kafanov weighs in.

What is true freedom anyway? You punch a clock and obey a miriad of social, traffic, family laws. No matter how you define it, it's unattainable in modern society and usually a sure trade off with safety in any era.
